Job purpose

The Application Support Analyst provides first-line technical support for business applications. This role is responsible for assisting users, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of applications across the organization.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Respond to user queries and application-related issues via email, phone, or ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic software problems or escalate complex issues to senior support or development teams.
  • Assist with application updates and configuration changes.
  • Monitor application performance and report anomalies or recurring issues.
  • Document support procedures, known issues, and resolutions in a knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve user experience and application reliability.
  • Provide basic training or guidance to users on application functionality.
  • Participate in testing new features or updates before deployment.
  • Help test new features or bug fixes before they’re released to production environments.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to reduce future incidents.
  • Help validate data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems.
  • Document and communication changes to applications, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Develop internal documentation and user-facing guides to streamline support.
  • Assist in logging tickets or following up on issues related to external applications or services.
  • Troubleshot issues across different platforms and devices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation or provide after-hours support when necessary.
  • Perform other assigned duties,
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant filed, such as IT, Computer Science.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in application or related IT support role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, custom business apps)
  • Proficiency in Databases & SQL and ability to write queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in scripting and automation.
  • Experience with ITSM tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and services.
  • Ability to follow procedures and document technical issues clearly.
  • Basic understanding of networking and scripting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, email communications, and presentations effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
