Job purpose

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within their assigned facilities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Verify 7 series by production date and report items at risk of being written off based on demand and customer minimum shelf-life requirements.
  • Monitor and control inventory integrity (FEFO – First Expired First Out).
  • Researching inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage the inventory control function at the site.
  • Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/random cycle count.
  • Document and control aged & damaged product.
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management (and client as appropriate).
  • Coordinate and Integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Manage Weekly 7 series count and completion of weekly 7 series matrix.
  • Collect counting information from second cycle counter at other location and from counts on off shifts.
  • Coordinate with production on unplanned WIP counts.
  • Perform weekly cycle count schedule (including films, retails, pouches, shippers, corner posts and some misc. items)
  • Weekly CHEP pallet counts email to team.
  • Manage daily partial pallet counts.
  • Attend meetings as necessary.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications or relevant coursework in logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control are considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong preference for candidates with background in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Great attention to detail with accuracy.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.

Physical requirements

  • Sitting involved.
  • May repeat the same movement.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Typing involved.
